This stunning outfit is based on original Victorian clothing from the early bustle period, and includes a jacket, a skirt and a bustle cage.

The jacket is made from purple duchesse satin, and has been finished with black bias binding. It fastens in the front with small purple heart shaped buttons.

The matching skirt is also made from purple duchesse satin, and has lace trim on the front apron and the back bustle and round the train. The skirt does have a long train in the back, and the bustle at the back is held in place with internal tape. If fastens in the left side with a hidden zip.

The bustle cage is made from cream cotton, and has ruffles over the back to help had volume to the skirt as well as hide the boning. The bustle effect at the back is achieved with flat steel boning that is held in shape with internal ribbons that tie over the rear and can be adjusted to change how prominent the bustle is.

The measurements for this are:

Waist of skirt, jacket and bustle 32" or 81cm

Jacket bust is approximately 40" or 101.5cm

Skirt front length is 42" or 106.5cm from the waist

Jacket front length is 13.5" or 34cm

Jacket back length is 16" or 41cm from neck to waist
